Job summary

Refresco in Texas is seeking a QA Technician to uphold food quality and safety in a fast-paced production plant. You will monitor microbiology programs, perform lab testing, calibrate equipment, and ensure accurate test results while collaborating with production staff.

Candidates should have a high school diploma, 3–4 years in quality within manufacturing, lab experience, and knowledge of GMP, HACCP, SQF. Overtime, weekend work, and protective gear are required; training provided.

Qualifications

Highschool diploma or equivalent.
3-4 years quality experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably food/beverage.
Laboratory experience required.
In plants co-packaging alcoholic beverages, sensory tasting must be at least 21 years old.
Knowledge of quality systems (GMP, HACCP, SQF) – certification ideal.

Responsibilities

Adhere to GMPs and PPE policies while in warehouse/production areas.
Maintain microbiology program, in-process quality, lab testing and equipment per production schedule.
Ensure accurate test results by calibrating and maintaining equipment.
Conduct routine checks on production line and act as initial Quality contact.
Prepare and send product samples; test products on hold and determine disposition.
Train staff to maintain performance and cross-functional ability.
Execute QA standards to maximize process quality and minimize non-conformance.
Complete documents per QA SOP.
