Job summary

Conagra Brands in Quincy, MI is seeking a Laboratory Quality Technician to perform routine and specialized testing on ingredients, in-process materials, and finished products to ensure specs are met. You will operate and troubleshoot lab equipment, prepare standard solutions, and document results.

This onsite role requires a high school diploma or GED, 1+ years in quality or lab settings, and basic MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of related experience in a quality, laboratory, or manufacturing environment.
• Experience using Microsoft Office tools.
• Math skills to perform calculations and interpret measurements and graphs.
• Experience following written, verbal, and diagrammed instructions.
• Microbiology or food industry knowledge is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and specialized testing on ingredients, in-process materials, finished products, and manufacturing supplies to confirm they meet specifications.
• Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and perform minor repairs on laboratory equipment used for testing and analysis.
• Prepare standard solutions required for routine and specialized testing.
• Record and analyze test results, maintain testing records, and compare results against current specifications.
• Evaluate results for accuracy and elevate nonconforming products, materials, or ingredients to appropriate production and quality partners.
• Partner with production teams to identify causes of quality issues, recommend solutions, and support continuous improvement.
• Support special testing, projects, quality audits, and other assignments related to plant operations.
• Monitor laboratory chemicals and equipment to support timely replacement or repair.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment.
