Job summary

Morton Salt is seeking a Quality Technician to test and inspect products and processes across production stages. The role ensures food safety, legality, quality, and authenticity of all products.

You will evaluate data and maintain records while supporting calibration and testing activities to uphold quality standards. The position requires strong attention to detail, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum of three years related lab experience.
• Experience with HACCP, GMPs and FSMA preferred.
• Demonstrates knowledge of operating procedures and processes.

Responsibilities

• Conduct quality inspections of equipment, materials, and processes.
• Perform calibration of laboratory and foreign material detection equipment.
• Conduct plant inspections of product and processes as prescribed by Quality Manager.
• Test incoming materials and ingredients according to testing schedules.
• Maintain QC document storage and backup system.
• Provide back-up support for other Quality technicians as needed.
