Job summary

Morton Salt is seeking a Quality Technician to test and inspect products and processes across production stages. You will evaluate data to ensure food safety, legality, quality, and authenticity.

The role requires routine HACCP inspections and coordination with the Quality Manager. Responsibilities include calibrating lab equipment, validating test methods, logging data, testing raw materials, and maintaining records.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years related lab experience preferred.
• High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Associate or bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct quality inspections of equipment, materials, and processes.
• Conduct routine HACCP (FSP) inspections.
• Conduct plant inspections of both product and processes as prescribed by Quality Manager.
• Perform calibration of laboratory and foreign material detection equipment.
• Complete analytical test method validation studies.
• Responsible for analytical testing of in-process and finished product testing and data logging.
• Test incoming materials and ingredients according to testing schedule.
• Maintain safety and laboratory record-keeping and equipment maintenance.
