Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
• One year prior lab experience required, with demonstrated understanding of basic chemistry.
• Bachelor's degree in relatable field preferred.
• Ability to work well in a team, with management and regulatory environment.
• Highly organized with strong time management skills.
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
• Safety-conscious with ability to multi-task.
• Good computer skills.
• Bilingual in Spanish is highly desirable (not required).

Responsibilities

• Completes profiles on production finished materials and on product purchases and shipments per Company standards.
• Serves as liaison between the plant and Central Lab with respect to product quality.
• Obtain, package, and ship samples for testing to Central Lab.
• Submit test results to Supervisor, General Manager and Plant Manager.
• Responsible for site inspections, sampling, log review and report preparation to ensure compliance in biosecurity, feed safety, and product compliance.
• Ensures compliance with local, state and federal environmental, safety, and HACCP regulations.
• Perform quality analyses on finished products.
• Maintains lab, materials, and work area in clean condition.
• Maintains safety as top priority in accordance with all company safety rules and regulations.
• All other duties as assigned
