Job summary

Darigold, Inc. in Sunnyside, WA is seeking an Advanced Laboratory Technician to support quality and food safety programs. You will report to the lab supervisor and perform analytical testing of ingredients, in-process samples and finished products.

Responsibilities include QA testing, data recording, equipment calibration, environmental swabbing, trend analysis, and adherence to SOPs and GLP. The role emphasizes timely reporting and strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Good lab practices following standard procedures and GLP.
• Dairy science, food safety, food science, or laboratory techniques certifications.
• WSDA licenses and Appendices N licenses.
• Understanding of FDA, USDA, CODEX and other regulatory standards for dairy.
• HACCP, PCQI, SQF certifications.
• Proficiency in MS Office and data systems (LIMS, Oracle, SafetyChain, Smartsheets).
• Ability to type at least 40 wpm.
• Independent and team work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Quality Assurance: Routine lab duties including testing for finished and in-process samples, sampling, grading, and troubleshooting.
• Product Testing and Sampling: Collect samples, perform testing, document results, manage out-of-spec notifications and retests.
• Environmental Swabbing: Maintain swabbing program, track and report results, conduct pathogen swabbing as required.
• Data Management: Record data, identify trends, and support root-cause analysis for quality events.
• Equipment Calibration: PM and calibration duties, run standards, maintain lab equipment and reagents.
• Inventory: Collect raw and pasteurized samples for plant inventory and product standardization.
• Adherence to SOPs and GLP; Data analysis and reporting.
• Lab Support: Maintain inventory and a clean, compliant lab space.
