Job summary

Silgan Dispensing is seeking an inspector to support the Engineering and Quality Departments with dimensional inspections and functional testing of new or improved products. You will measure with calipers and other instruments, document results, and assist with root cause analyses to drive continuous improvement.

The role requires a high school diploma, basic computer skills, and 2–5 years of inspection or production experience; lifting up to 50 pounds is occasionally required and independence

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer skills including word processing and spreadsheets.
• Experience with measuring equipment and test instruments.
• Understanding of basic statistics.
• 2–5 years of inspection or production experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Perform dimensional and visual inspections to ensure conformance to specifications and accuracy.
• Document results on spreadsheets and generate reports; support quality analyses.
• Assist root cause analyses with the quality department to aid continuous improvement.
• Train employees on new test procedures as required.
• Follow quality plans and safety procedures; conduct in-process audits as needed.
