Job summary

Continental is seeking a Production Lab Technician/Color Matcher to join the Quality Lab in Surface Solutions on a Day Shift 12-hour schedule, alternating weeks. You will operate spectrophotometers, calibrate equipment, establish color standards, troubleshoot color issues, analyze data, and support COA/COC testing with the lab production team.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma or GED, proficiency in Microsoft Office, color theory training, ability to lift 50 lb, and strong English

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• English reading, writing and comprehension skills are required.
• Must pass Munsell Color Test.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds and stand/walk for long shifts.
• Basic understanding of IATF 16949 and ISO13485 as it applies to lab duties.

Responsibilities

• Function as an active lab team member and support production.
• Operate and maintain lab spectrophotometers; calibrate and verify equipment.
• Establish and maintain color standards and color data files.
• Troubleshoot color, hand and processing issues; develop corrective actions.
• Analyze data; draw conclusions and recommend process improvements.
• Conduct COA/COC testing and collaborate with lab production team.
• Maintain a clean and safe lab environment.
• Work the Day Shift 12-hour schedule on a rotating weekly pattern.
