Job summary

Adient in Michigan is seeking a Quality Lab Technician to perform physical property testing in the polyurethane quality lab and ensure data accuracy. You will follow customer test methods, monitor testing conditions, and maintain lab organization and inventories.

The role requires adherence to safety practices and involvement in audits and system improvements, with a shift from 10pm to 6:30am. Prior lab experience in a controlled environment is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience following ISO 16949 & A2LA (ISO 17025) systems.
• Ability to read and interpret customer test method documents.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand all customer standardized test method documents.
• Perform physical property testing in the polyurethane quality lab according to documents.
• Maintain, control, and ensure accuracy of test data.
• Monitor testing within Temperature and Humidity control.
• Update testing matrix daily and note completed testing.
• Maintain 5S and housekeeping in the lab area daily.
• Maintain sample and test fixture inventories.
• Follow all lab safety practices.
• Participate in system improvement activities and audits.
• Be a self-starter to complete work orders timely.
