Lactalis US Yogurt in Brattleboro, VT is seeking a Quality Lab Technician for the 3rd shift (Sun–Thu, 10pm–6:30am). You will perform testing of materials and finished products, conduct microbiological and chemical analyses, and manage hold/release decisions according to quality specs.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; 1-2 years’ experience in related Quality Assurance environment.
• Experience in a clean environment with aseptic methodologies and laboratory analyses.
• Ability to understand, operate, and interpret results from laboratory testing procedures.
• Communicate effectively and accurately, both verbally and in writing.
• Take direction and follow instructions accurately.
• Work well with peers and supervisors in a team process.
• Proficient in Word and Excel and job-related software applications.

Responsibilities

• Test materials and finished products and document results.
• Perform microbiological analysis of raw materials and finished products.
• Verify hold/release decisions and alert QA on deviations.
• Conduct physical and chemical analyses of materials and products.
• Monitor temperature checks, ingredient usage, and distribution.
• Assess finished product appearance, code date, and metal detection results.
• Perform sensory evaluation of raw materials and finished products.
• Support environmental testing and maintain laboratory safety procedures.
