Entegris, Inc. in Aurora, IL is hiring a 2nd Shift Quality Lab Technician to perform analytical, physical, and visual tests on materials and products. You will enter data into SampleManager, verify equipment, and help maintain lab instructions while ensuring ISO9001 compliance.

Occasional overtime may be required. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a technical field and at least 1 year of quality lab experience, with familiarity in JMP/Minitab or SampleManager preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, or related technical field; 1 year quality lab experience preferred.
• Experience with statistical software and quality data analysis is a plus.
• 2nd shift availability: Monday–Friday 2pm–10pm; overtime may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform analytical, physical, and visual tests on product for production, development, R&D, materials engineering, and customer returns.
• Enter data into SampleManager system; address deviations or non-conformances in products, instruments, and quality standards.
• Verify and calibrate test equipment per methods to ensure data integrity and ISO9001 compliance.
• Analyze data or trends and prepare reports for internal stakeholders.
• Create Certificates of Analysis for product shipping to customers.
• Troubleshoot lab equipment and maintain current lab work instructions; help develop new methods.

Job Description

The Role: Our site in Aurora is seeking a 2nd Shift Quality Lab Technician to join our team. The 2nd Shift Quality Lab Technician is responsible for the analytical inspection and testing of incoming materials, intermediates, experimental and final products. In this role, you will have the opportunity to be part of a focused and talented team of Quality Lab Technicians who support our growing CMP Pads business.

What You’ll Do

• Perform analytical, physical, and visual tests on product for production, development, R&D, materials engineering, and on customer return samples
• Enter data into SampleManager system; recognize and address deviations or non-conformances in products, instruments, and quality standards
• Verify and/or calibrate all test equipment per manufacturing recommendations and test methods to ensure data integrity and adherence to ISO9001 standard
• Analyze data or trends and prepare reports for communication to internal stakeholders
• Create Certificates of Analysis for product shipping to customer
• Participate in the maintenance of current lab work instructions and assist in development of new methods and instructions for the quality lab team
• Troubleshoot lab equipment of varying complexity
• Communicate effectively with other team members to promote to a safe, positive, and productive working environment

What We Seek

Education / Experience: Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (i.e. Chemistry, Biology, etc.) and/or quality laboratory experience of a minimum 1 year

Knowledge: Statistical software (JMP, Minitab) and/or SampleManager preferred

Opening for 2nd Shift: Monday - Friday 2 pm to 10:00 pm (overtime may be required, as per business needs)

Weekend shifts will vary when needed.

Outstanding Candidates Will Have

• Self-motivated and learning disposition, with strong attention to detail and flexibility to change
• Technical knowledge of laboratory analytical equipment and general testing methods
• Understanding of basic statistical methods (SPC/SQC)
• Ability to follow organizational concepts and complex processes to complete work
• Strong written and oral communication skills; proven ability to work in a team

Starting pay range is $24/hr-$27/hr based on experience. Eligible for annual company incentive program.
