Your role at Baxter
The Position encompasses the biological, chemical and physical analyses of pharmaceutical products (biologics and drugs) through all stages of the manufacturing process from incoming raw materials to finished goods, and environmental monitoring programs.
This is a 1st shift position but will be required to work on weekends to support training of analysts and to support projects and/or production, as required.
A candidate must not be allergic to Penicillin and Cephalosporin or their related products and /or materials.
What you'll be doing
Provide support for daily operation of the laboratory and control of workflow. Implement testing standards and policies.
Supervise safety measures of laboratory. Assist personnel and enhance their performance.
Ensure completion of all testing, including special project / protocol testing in a timely and appropriate manner.
Assist in implementing quality and regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, GLP, QSR, cGMP, and USP rules and guidelines), and ensure compliance with testing SOPs and specifications.
Monitor the testing techniques and accuracy of all records and documentation in the laboratory.
Participate in pro-active functions that impact production, increase efficiency, solve problems, generate cost savings, improve quality, and provide new product support.
Ensure employees are properly trained. Make appropriate staffing decisions.
Prepare, review and revise, as required, SOPs and specifications.
Ensure equipment maintenance and calibration, and internal audits are performed on schedule.
What you'll bring
Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, or related science with Chemistry coursework, and 4-6 years of experience in the healthcare industry.
Must know operating and troubleshooting procedures for lab equipment, as well as, quality and regulatory requirements pertinent to pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturing labs.
Must possess excellent supervisory and interpersonal skills and be able to communicate with subordinates, peers, and managers.
