Job summary

Actalent is seeking an Analytical/Quality Lab Specialist to join our team in Rosemount, MN. The role starts on 1st shift for ~3 months, then transitions to 2nd shift (Mon-Fri, 3 pm–11:30 pm).

It focuses on lab testing of industrial chemicals and raw materials for fertilizers and food-grade lines. The position requires a Bachelor’s in Chemistry or related field, 6+ months of titration/pH experience, and familiarity with QA/QC in regulated environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related field or equivalent experience.
• At least 6 months of titration and pH testing experience.
• Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment (SQF, FAMI-Q5, IPEC).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Strong problem-solving and time-management skills; good communication.

Responsibilities

• Conduct lab work including specific gravity, titrations, and pH testing.
• Review shipping documentation and COA, verify against internal specs.
• Test raw materials and release for Production using AA or HPLC.
• Issue and review batch records for manufacturing and packaging.
• Print and review labels with Production Supervisor; maintain logs for issued seals.
• Upload lab results to the database and create CofAs.
• Test finished bulk products and ensure quality before transfer to storage or packaging.
• Perform in-process and finished goods testing, including packaging and visual inspections.
