Donaldson in Dixon, IL is offering a Quality Intern role to gain hands-on experience in manufacturing quality systems, supporting APQP activities and ensuring product documentation meets quality requirements.

You will collaborate with quality and engineering professionals to improve processes, support APQP activities, and contribute to monthly reporting and audits in a dynamic, on-site setting.

• Currently enrolled undergraduate pursuing engineering or business administration.
• Must be a U.S. person eligible to work in the United States.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Conduct APQP: Risk Identification (FMEA).
• Conduct Risk Elimination (Quality Control plan).
• Conduct ISIR approvals and other PPAP functions.
• Responsible for Product Yield: Defect Management (Closing; Actions; Scrap; Code Red; Analysis etc).
• Conduct Layered Audits.
• Conduct process audits and Product Audits.
• Provide Inspector guidance.
• Responsible for rework process design.
• Ensure monthly reports are compiled and submitted.
• Responsible for problem-solving within Quality.

The Quality Intern will gain practical experience in manufacturing quality systems by working alongside quality and engineering professionals to improve processes, support APQP activities, and ensure product and process documentation meets quality requirements.

The Donaldson internship program provides innovative students with meaningful, hands‑on experience in a collaborative industry environment. Qualified candidates must be able to work an on‑site schedule at our Dixon, IL facility.

Role Responsibilities

• Conduct APQP: Risk Identification (FMEA)

Minimum Qualifications

• Currently enrolled undergraduate in an accredited degreed program pursuing a major in engineering or business administration.
• Must be U.S. persons (U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e., 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee) as this position requires use of information which is subject to export controls.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
• Interest in pursuing a career in manufacturing, quality, engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 3.0 out of 4.0 cumulative GPA.

Relocation:

This position is not eligible for relocation assistance.

Hourly Pay Rate

$20.00 - 28.00, depending on projected undergraduate graduation date, educational degree in progress and major of study upon time of hire.

This position is overtime eligible as per state and federal regulations.
