Job summary

RTX is seeking a quality inspector to join the Repair Operations team. This onsite weekend afternoon shift inspects parts, tools, and gauges using established procedures and documents results.

You will manage measuring equipment, determine deviations, and assist in repair planning while supporting continuous improvement initiatives. Candidates need a High School or GED and may have aerospace or non-aerospace inspection experience.

Qualifications

  • High School or GED required.
  • Preferred: inspection experience (Non-Aerospace acceptable).

Responsibilities

  • Perform dimensional and visual inspections on parts, tools and gauges using approved data and drawings.
  • Use fixed and variable measuring instruments to check dimensions and record results.
  • Determine nonconformance and complete required paperwork.
  • Maintain inspection stamp and support repair operations as needed.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives.

What You Will Do
  • This is an amazing opportunity to work on our Operations Team as a quality inspector, in the Repair Operations division.
  • This is a Weekend Afternoon Shift , Noon to 12:30am. Friday -Sunday , work 36 hours and get paid for 40 hours .
  • Work applicable written inspection procedures, drawings, Engine Manuals and other pertinent instruction and/or Approved Technical Data to plan and perform dimensional and visual inspection on parts, tools and gages and other equipment, accepting material or referring for rework or quality review based on findings.
  • Use a variety of fixed and variable measuring instruments where work instructions are well defined to check dimensions and record results.
  • Perform necessary mathematical computations to determine extent of nonconformance and complete appropriate paperwork.
  • Follow proper procedures to perform inspection checks and verification of dimensions and make sure that Work Instructions are being followed.
  • Recognize need and arrange for repair or replacement of measuring equipment used in performing the work as necessary.
  • Support and promote continuous improvement activities to meet business objectives.
  • Must maintain Inspection stamp.
  • Manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously
  • Flexibility around shifts, for training and to maintain workflow, to include overtime
  • May be assigned to carry out tasks, not specifically listed, within the scope and skill level of this job description in support of department objectives and to develop individuals' skills.
  • Reviewing Customer parts as received, and determining the start of their repair path.Receiving Inspection.
  • Working with Legacy, Military, and GTF parts.

Qualifications You Must Have
  • High School or GED

  • Inspection experience (Non- Aerospace acceptable)
  • Familiar with precision measuring equipment.

  • The salary range for this role is $17.13- $30.10. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
