Job summary

RTX is seeking a quality inspector for the Repair Operations division. You will perform dimensional and visual inspections per procedures and use fixed/variable measuring instruments to verify parts and tools.

You will record results, determine nonconformance, and coordinate with teams to remediate issues. You will work the Fri-Sun 6pm–6:30am shift, with overtime as needed, and support continuous improvement efforts in a state-of-the-art aerospace facility.

Qualifications

  • High School or GED completed.
  • Experience with inspection processes and dimensional checks preferred.
  • Familiarity with precision measuring equipment and standard shop math.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect parts, tools and gauges using defined procedures and data.
  • Check dimensions, record results and determine conformance or need for rework.
  • Perform calculations to assess nonconformance and document findings.
  • Follow work instructions and verify proper use of equipment and procedures.
  • Support continuous improvement and maintain inspection stamps.
  • Handle multiple priorities and coordinate with maintenance and production.

What You Will Do

This is an amazing opportunity to work on our Operations Team as a quality inspector, in the Repair Operations division.

Work applicable written inspection procedures, drawings, Engine Manuals and other pertinent instruction and/or Approved Technical Data to plan and perform dimensional and visual inspection on parts, tools and gages and other equipment, accepting material or referring for rework or quality review based on findings.

Use a variety of fixed and variable measuring instruments where work instructions are well defined to check dimensions and record results.

Perform necessary mathematical computations to determine extent of nonconformance and complete appropriate paperwork.

Follow proper procedures to perform inspection checks and verification of dimensions and make sure that Work Instructions are being followed.

Recognize need and arrange for repair or replacement of measuring equipment used in performing the work as necessary.

Support and promote continuous improvement activities to meet business objectives.

Must maintain Inspection stamp.

Manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously

Flexibility around shifts, for training and to maintain workflow, to include overtime

May be assigned to carry out tasks, not specifically listed, within the scope and skill level of this job description in support of department objectives and to develop individuals’ skills.

Reviewing Customer parts as received, and determining the start of their repair path.Receiving Inspection.

Working with Legacy, Military, and GTF parts.

Fri, Sat, Sun (6pm - 6:30am) - Work 36hrs get paid for 40hrs

The salary range for this role is $17.13- $30.10. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
