Job summary

Commercial Metals Company is seeking a detail-oriented inspector to perform final inspections, dimensional checks, and quality verification across production stages. You will measure parts, verify galvanizing thickness, and audit product traceability to ensure compliance with drawings and specifications.

The role requires strong math and measurement skills, computer literacy, and the ability to work outdoors in all weather.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Strong tape measure and fraction skills.
• Good math, analytical and problem solving abilities.
• Proficient with Outlook, Excel, Word and electronic file management.
• SAP and Salesforce experience a plus.
• Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Perform final inspections on all outgoing products, including dimensional checks, weld quality, and galvanizing verification.
• Accurately measure parts using tape measures, micrometers, and calipers.
• Verify galvanizing thickness using coating thickness gauges.
• Conduct in process and final audits of products and manufacturing processes at multiple stages of production.
• Interpret mechanical drawings and specifications to confirm dimensional, welding, and quality requirements.
• Convert between fractions and decimals, and between metric and imperial measurements.
• Audit and verify product identification and traceability throughout production.
• Maintain records, including scanning and organizing electronic files.
