Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat is seeking Quality Inspectors to support inspection duties at Electric Boat and supplier facilities across the United States. The home location is Florence, SC, with up to 90% travel to EB facilities and suppliers.

Candidates must obtain and maintain Magnetic Particle certification and be prepared for mock audits. Qualified applicants will review welds and components, work with the Quality Organization, and support the Build to EB Paper initiative within Focus

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent or 2+ years of related technical experience.
Must obtain and maintain MT/PT/ET certification.
Must attain a department qualification within the first six months.
Travel up to 90% to off-site locations.
Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

Perform inspections of welds, structures and components at EB and supplier facilities.
Verify attributes for off-site locations and document results.
Maintain Magnetic Particle certification; progress to other NDT disciplines as proficiency grows.
Work within the Embedded Team building missile components and related structures.
