Job summary

RTC is hiring for a production quality inspector at our Romeoville plant. You will inspect parts at multiple stages, verify quality, and document results to support delivery and safety. The role is union, full-time, and on-site with standing shifts.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English to perform the job.
• Able to do basic math and simple calculations.
• Must be able to use a computer, laptop, or tablet for required work.
• Able to stand and move about the plant for the full work shift (8 hours).
• Able to lift 50 pounds and safely move and handle items.
• Able to work independently and follow instructions.
• Must be flexible with work location, hours, and shifts to meet production and shipping needs.
• Must be 18 years or older

Responsibilities

• Inspect parts and products during incoming inspection, production, and shipping to ensure they meet quality requirements.
• Check parts for visual defects, function, damage, and other quality issues.
• Follow inspection instructions, drawings, and quality standards.
• Complete inspection forms, records, reports, and other required paperwork.
• Report quality problems to the appropriate person.
• Follow all safety rules and report safety concerns.
• Keep the inspection area clean and organized.
• Perform other duties as needed.
