Job summary

Oldcastle Infrastructure, part of CRH, is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to perform on-floor quality checks for PVC pipe production. You will evaluate samples, assist with physical tests, and document findings to ensure product quality.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, and at least 1 year of related experience; strong reading of manuals, effective communication, and basic MS Office skills are essential. Lifting up to 50 lbs is expected in this role.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent
• At least 1 year of related experience, preferred
• Ability to read and understand equipment manuals and directions
• Must communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
• Computer literate experienced with Microsoft Office software
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates samples of incoming materials
• Assists with and performs physical tests on plastic pipe and fittings
• Inspects plastic pipe and fittings while in process and finished stages
• Uses saws to cut test samples
• Distributes reports and tests as necessary
• Uses hand measurements tools to include calipers, dial gauges, etc.
• Pull samples from floor
• Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed
