Job summary

Oldcastle Infrastructure, a CRH company, is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to perform on-floor quality checks and monitor production in a union environment. Responsibilities include verifying procedures, monitoring batching and curing, and maintaining documentation.

The role requires reading shop drawings, strong record-keeping, and ability to work in a fast-paced precast setting; lifting up to 40 lbs may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience in precast or similar production quality control.
• Ability to read and interpret shop/engineering drawings.
• Strong record-keeping and documentation skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Good attendance and positive attitude; team oriented.
• Able to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Union environment experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Verify procedures follow specification requirements and communicate with production leads.
• Monitor daily production to ensure proper batching, placement, and curing.
• Review test data for specification compliance.
• Notify QC Manager of any deviations.
• Control movement of items through production stages.
• Maintain clean and safe work area.
• Perform pre-pour and post-pour inspections of precast concrete products.
• Document testing records and inspections in the network system.
• Attend to repairs and maintenance requests as needed.
• Assist in training other employees.
