Thunderbird Molding is seeking a Quality Inspector to verify dimensional characteristics and compliance with specifications. The role demands meticulous attention to detail, adherence to QC procedures, and clear communication with stakeholders to resolve quality issues.

In this position you will use calipers, micrometers, height gauges, Smartscope, CMM and comparator to inspect parts, read prints, and document results. Experience in ISO 9001 and strong math skills are valued.

Formación

• Proven experience as a quality inspector or similar role.
• Ability to distinguish between part numbers and sizes.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret procedures and work instructions.
• Ability to carry out written, oral or diagram instructions.
• Ability to write legibly.
• Ability to describe product quality information to others.
• Ability to use inspection, test and measurement equipment.
• Knowledge of basic math.
• Ability to read and write in English; Spanish is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure Thunderbird product quality.
• Complete lab work and paperwork.
• Participate in Internal ISO 9001 Audits.
• Verify products are packaged per specifications.
• Read and interpret specifications on part prints.
• Perform incoming inspection on parts and raw materials.
• Conduct startup, in-process, and final inspections on molded parts using listed tools.
• Initiate non-conformance reports as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

The Quality Inspector inspects products for dimensional characteristics and compliance with specifications. This role involves meticulous attention to detail, adherence to quality control procedures, and effective communication with relevant stakeholders to address and resolve quality issues.

Quality Inspector Essential Functions

• Ensuring Thunderbird product quality.
• Complete all lab work and paperwork.
• Participate in Internal ISO 9001 Audits.
• Verify products are packaged according to specifications.
• Read and interpret specifications on part prints
• Perform Incoming inspection on component parts and raw materials
• Perform startup, in process, and final Inspections on injection molded parts using, Calipers, Micrometers, Height gages, Smartscope, CMM and Comparator.
• Initiate non-conformance reports as required
• Performs other duties that may be assigned.

• Proven experience as a quality inspector or similar role.
• Ability to distinguish between part numbers and sizes.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret procedures. and work instructions.

• Ability to write legibly.
• Ability to effectively describe product quality information to appropriate personnel.
• Ability to use inspection, test, and measurement equipment.
• Knowledge of basic math
• Ability to read and write in English, Spanish is a plus.

Quality Inspector Physical Demands and Work Environment

• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
• The employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts.
• Frequently required lifting and/or moving up to 30 pounds.
• Frequently required standing, bending, squatting, and reaching with hands and arms.
• Regularly required to stand for extended periods
• Ability to use hand tools.
• Ability to read applicable instructions.
