Job summary

Thunderbird is seeking a Quality Inspector in Illinois to ensure product quality and compliance with specifications. The role requires precise inspection, adherence to ISO 9001 processes, and clear communication with teams to resolve quality issues.

You will read part prints, inspect components and raw materials, and complete lab work and documentation in a fast-paced manufacturing environment governed by Thunderbird quality standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a quality inspector or similar role.
• Ability to distinguish between part numbers and sizes.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret procedures and work instructions.
• Ability to carry out instructions in written, oral or diagram form.
• Ability to write legibly.
• Ability to describe product quality information to appropriate personnel.
• Ability to use inspection, test, and measurement equipment.
• Knowledge of basic math.
• Ability to read and write in English; Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Thunderbird product quality.
• Complete all lab work and paperwork.
• Participate in Internal ISO 9001 Audits.
• Verify products are packaged according to specifications.
• Read and interpret specifications on part prints.
• Perform incoming inspection on component parts and raw materials.
