Job summary

Oerlikon is seeking a Quality Inspector in Amherst, NY with a Sun–Wed schedule (9:30 AM – 8:00 PM) to ensure part quality for incoming and outgoing shipments. You will perform inspections, maintain documentation, and participate in coating characterization using various laboratory instruments.

The role requires a high school diploma (tech trade preferred) and strong attention to detail, with proficiency in Outlook and Excel and the ability to lift up to 44 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical trade school preferred.
• Experience with quality inspection processes and documentation.
• Proficiency in Outlook and Excel; ability to use lab equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform all incoming and outgoing quality inspections on customer parts to ensure specifications are met prior to shipping.
• Lift and move parts weighing 5–44 lbs; vacuum package products.
• Conduct coating characterization using laboratory equipment and testing methods.
