Job summary

Sonoco Products Company in Union, SC is hiring an Inspector Packer I to support basic manufacturing processes on the 3rd shift (11 PM - 7 AM). The role involves visually inspecting parts for defects, post-molding tasks, and packing items with accurate labeling.

You will also log production data and report any non-conforming products. Ideal candidates have manufacturing experience, read standard work instructions, and arrive on time with good attendance.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret standard work instructions with accuracy.
• Perform basic math calculations and precise measurements as required.
• Maintain good attendance and punctuality.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with departments and plant teams to complete basic manufacturing tasks.
• Visually inspect molded or extruded parts for quality defects per requirements.
• Perform post-molding/extrusion tasks such as buffing, scraping, deburring, and assembly.
• Pack quality parts in correct cartons with proper labeling and quantities.
• Report non-conforming product according to procedures and keep run records.
• Record production data and SPC/SQC information where applicable.
• Assist with other duties as assigned by the Supervisor; overtime may be required.
