Job summary

Sonoco in Union, SC is seeking an Inspector Packer I to support manufacturing on the 2nd shift. You will visually inspect molded or extruded parts for defects, perform post‑molding tasks, and pack quality parts with correct labeling and quantities.

You should have basic manufacturing experience, read standard work instructions, and be proficient in basic math and measurement. Overtime is required at times and attendance matters.

Qualifications

• Basic manufacturing experience or training.
• Able to read and comprehend standard work instructions.
• Read and perform basic math and measurement tasks.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspect molded or extruded parts for quality defects.
• Perform post-molding/extrusion tasks such as buffing, scraping, deburring, or assembly.
• Pack quality parts in cartons with correct labeling and quantities.
• Segregate and report non-conforming product per procedures.
• Maintain production data records (run sheets, scrap sheets, etc.).
• Record SPC/SQC data where applicable.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
• Overtime may be required.
