Job summary

Siemens Energy is seeking a full-time NDE Field Service Technician to support field service jobs at power plants across the Americas, including the United States. Role involves travel, field inspections, and timely delivery of tools and field activities.

Qualifications

• NDE certification in six methods (UT, UTPA, ET, PT, MT, VT & RT).
• Experience in Ultrasonic Phased Array and Level II in Eddy Current required.
• NDE associate degree or equivalent military training; must live within an hour drive of a major airport.
• Must be self-driven and able to work independently as well as in groups.
• Four+ years' experience with Siemens Energy.
• Must be frequently requested by internal and external customers with high-performance ratings.
• Must pass extended background check for unescorted access to nuclear facilities.
• Applicants must be Siemens Energy employees.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for and support field service jobs at power plants located at domestic and international job sites.
• Perform field inspections per Siemens requirements.
• Travel up to 75% annually to power plant sites.
• Support outage planning and delivery of tools, personnel, and field inspection activities.
• Prepare shipments of test equipment for domestic and international shipping.
• Support development of new and continuous improvement of existing specialty service applications and tooling for use in the field.
• On-site and off-site technical and operational support in design, development, installation and maintenance of equipment and systems of a complex nature.
• Communicate technology and inspection findings to global Siemens team members and with internal and external customers.

We have a need for a skilled full-time NDE Field Service Technician. Our NDE Field Service Technicians travel to power plant sites across the Americas including the United States, Canada, Central and South America to provide nondestructive testing services.

How You’ll Make an Impact

Prepare for and support field service jobs at power plants located at domestic and international job sites.

Perform field inspections per Siemens requirements.

Travel (up to 75% annually for this position) to power plant sites.

Support customer power plant outage planning and production control by ensuring the timely delivery of tools, personnel, and field inspection activities through the application of field service systems and procedures.

Prepare shipments of test equipment for domestic and international shipping. Support the development of new and continuous improvement of existing specialty service applications and tooling for use in the field. On-site and off-site technical and operational support in the design, development, installation and maintenance of equipment and systems of a complex nature. Communicate technology and inspection findings to global Siemens team members and with internal and external customers.

What You Bring

• NDE certification in 6 of these methods (UT, UTPA, ET, PT, MT, VT & RT).
• Experience and hours in Ultrasonic Phased Array and Level II in Eddy Current is mandatory.
• NDE associates degree or equivalent military training required and must live within an hour drive of a major airport.
