Job summary

Medical Devices Company in Durham, NC is seeking a Quality Inspector on a contract basis to conduct inspections of products, parts, assemblies, raw materials, tooling, and instruments to ensure compliance with design data and contract requirements at predefined steps in the manufacturing process.

The candidate should have 5+ years of quality inspection or manufacturing experience, an associate degree or higher, and proficiency in blueprint reading and GD&T; experience with CMM and PCB/Cabling is

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher or 5+ years related experience.
• Minimum 5 years quality inspection/manufacturing experience in a relevant industry.
• ASQ quality discipline certification preferred (CQT, CQA, etc.).
• Proficient in blueprint reading and GD&T.
• Experience with PCB/Cabling, UL components knowledge.
• Experience with CMM preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Use measuring devices, testing equipment, and statistical control processes.
• Perform ISIR/FAI and conformity inspections; raise non-conformance notifications.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Consult with engineers to evaluate inspections and tests beyond capabilities.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
• Work in a team environment.
• Perform other duties as needed to meet business needs.
