Job summary

MillenniumSoft Inc is seeking a Quality Inspector in Durham, NC for a 12-month contract on W2. The role conducts product and material inspections to verify compliance with drawings, specifications and contract requirements at selected manufacturing steps.

Applicants should have 5+ years in quality inspection or manufacturing, with GD&T, CMM experience, and proficiency with measurement devices. Strong communication and teamwork are essential in a warehouse environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or more than 5 years related experience and/or training
• Minimum 5 years quality inspection or manufacturing experience in a relevant industry
• Certification in a quality discipline preferred (e.g., ASQ CQT or ASQ Auditor)
• Proficient in Blueprint reading and GD&T
• Experience with PCB / Cabling and UL components knowledge
• Experience with CMM preferred
• Use of precision measuring instruments
• Proficient in Word and Excel
• Effective oral and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Use measuring devices, testing equipment, and statistical control processes
• Perform ISIR/FAI and conformity inspections and raise non-conformance notices
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
• Seek engineer support for inspection decisions beyond capabilities

Job Description;

Key Responsibilities

• Use a variety of measuring devices, testing equipment, and statistical control processes.
• Perform Initial Sample Inspections Records (ISIR)/ First Article Inspections (FAI) and conformity inspections and raise notifications of non-conformance.
• Participate in continuous improvement / process improvement.
• Request support from an engineer to evaluate and act on inspection and test beyond capabilities.
• Effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
• Interact within a team environment.
• Perform other duties assigned to meet business needs.

Skills And Experience

• Associate degree or more than 5 years related experience and/or training, Bachelor's degree preferred
• Minimum 5 years quality inspection or manufacturing experience in a relevant industry
• Certification in a quality discipline preferred, such as ASQ certified Quality Technician (CQT), ASQ Certified Quality Auditor, etc.
• Proficient in Blueprint reading/geometric tolerance interpretation
• Experience with PCB / Cabling Experience, UL Components Compliance Knowledge, and GD&T
• Experience with CMM preferred
• Use of precision measuring instruments and their application
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Effective oral and written communication skills
