Job summary

Flowserve Corporation is seeking a QC Inspector in Addison, IL to perform documented inspections ensuring conformance to drawings, procedures and regulatory requirements. You will be responsible for the content of the ITP and project quality plan, and for defining and controlling QC documents for each project.

The role requires knowledge of welding, NDE and quality systems, plus the ability to audit processes and evaluate supplier qualifications.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma / GED or equivalent required.
• Knowledge of welding, NDE and quality systems.
• Familiarity with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to use inspection equipment in machining, assembly and testing.
• Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to travel.
• Able to solve problems and maintain customer service standards.
• Lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Document dimensional and visual inspections per drawings and procedures.
• Audit processes, trainings and work cells for quality and safety.
• Record nonconforming material using NCR process.
• Review supplier qualifications, NDE personnel and welding procedures.
• Approve supplier documentation and customer approvals as needed.
• Define test and inspection requirements for projects (ITP).
• Perform other duties as assigned.
