Job summary

Emerald Technologies in Brea, CA is hiring a QC Incoming Inspector to ensure incoming materials, PCBA assemblies, and components meet drawing and customer specs before production. You will perform visual and dimensional inspections and record results in our M2M system.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of electronics incoming inspection experience, reads blueprints/ Gerber files, and is proficient with IPC-600/IPC-610 standards. This full-time on-site role offers a stable schedule and benefits.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Minimum of two (2) years in incoming inspection in electronics manufacturing.
• Technical Skills: Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and PCB Gerber files.
• Standard Knowledge: IPC-600/IPC-610 quality workmanship standards.
• Computer Literacy: Proficient with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and database navigation.
• Communication: Clear business English communication.
• Physical Demands: Capable of 25-pound lifting.

Responsibilities

• Interpret Technical Files: read blueprints, Gerber files, fab drawings, and specs to determine materials and workmanship.
• Perform PCB inspections: visual and dimensional checks per IPC standards and customer specs.
• Execute First Article Inspections (FAI) when required.
• Utilize precision tools: calipers, micrometers, and pin gages to verify tolerances.
• Manage Data & Documentation: enter results into the M2M database and verify records.
• Navigate Software Systems: review documents and track quality workflows.
• Support Continuous Improvement: assist with investigations, root cause analyses, corrective actions.
• Other Duties: perform additional quality tasks as assigned.
