Job summary

Emerald Technologies seeks a QC Incoming Inspector in Brea, CA to ensure incoming materials and PCBs meet engineering drawings, customer specs, and industry standards before entering production. You will perform visual and dimensional inspections, document results, and use precision tools to verify tolerances.

Responsibilities include reading technical files, conducting First Article Inspections when required, and maintaining thorough records in the M2M system.

Qualifications

• Reads blueprints, Gerber files, fab drawings and engineering specs to determine materials and workmanship requirements.
• Performs visual and dimensional inspections per IPC-A-600/IPC-A-610 standards and customer specs.
• Records results per established procedures and uses precision tools to verify tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints, Gerber files, fab drawings and engineering specifications to determine materials and workmanship requirements.
• Perform visual and dimensional inspections of PCBs and components to IPC-A-600/IPC-A-610 standards and customer specs.
• Perform First Article Inspections (FAI) when required and record results.
• Use calipers, micrometers and pin gauges to verify tolerances.
• Input inspection results into the M2M database and ensure documentation completeness.
• Review documents in internal systems and track quality workflows.
• Support failure investigations, root-cause analyses and corrective actions.
• Handle additional quality-related tasks as assigned by management.
