Job summary

Fralock is seeking a Quality Inspector III to join our Poway facility. This role involves performing advanced inspections, maintaining records, and ensuring parts meet customer requirements and timelines.

On-site with first shift responsibilities, you will liaise with production and engineering to resolve issues and drive quality improvements. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in controlled manufacturing quality inspection, strong GD&T skills, and experience with CMM/inspection tools.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible quality inspection experience in a controlled manufacturing environment.
• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Knowledge in blueprint reading and geometrical tolerances; use of hand-held inspection tools and templates.
• Familiarity with measurement tools and inspection equipment (CMM, Keyence IM systems, calipers, micrometers, gauges).

Responsibilities

• Perform in-process and final inspections to drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
• Interpret blueprints and GD&T; verify dimensions using CMM, Keyence IM systems, calipers, micrometers, gauges.
• Complete and maintain inspection records, including first article reports, dimensional reports, CMM results, ballooned drawings.
• Identify, document, and coordinate disposition of nonconforming material with Quality, Engineering, Production, Receiving Inspection, and Purchasing.
• Release and route inspected parts to the next operation and communicate inspection status and priorities.
• Coordinate parts cleaning and secondary operations as required.
• Monitor work-in-process held in Quality; escalate aging, blocked, or shipment-critical parts.
• Provide day-to-day technical guidance to inspectors on methods, priorities, and escalation requirements.
