Job summary

Check-Mate Manufacturing LLC in Thomasville, GA is seeking a Quality Inspector II with prior QA experience to inspect metal forming production, fabrication shop and assembly processes. You will ensure compliance with specifications and safety procedures while maintaining quality standards.

The role requires reading blueprints, using precision measuring tools, documenting findings in the computer system, and preparing FAIRs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Able to read and understand technical drawings (blueprints) for indicated dimensions.
• Able to utilize micrometers, calipers, drop gauges, dial indicators.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Basic mathematical knowledge and problem-solving skills.
• Able to use Rockwell Test Equipment, Optical Comparator and Video Inspection Equipment.

Responsibilities

• Inspect in-process metal stampings, fabrication and/or assembly per task.
• Document actual findings using the computer system.
• Perform visual inspection of welded, sanded, notched and tumbled components per customer specification.
• Inspect for defects and cosmetic issues and report defects for corrective action.
• Prepare First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR).
• Maintain workflow with minimal interruptions.
• Set-up inspection and approval for Generic Production Items.
• Set-up inspection and approval for medical and other complex products.
• Assist in receiving inspections and verification of Certificates of Conformance and Certificates of Analysis.
• Perform inspections from Technical Drawings only.
• Assist Engineering and Tool Shop with problem solving from inspections.
