Job summary

Prototek Digital Manufacturing is seeking a Quality Inspector II to support our manufacturing operations by performing in-process, final, and first article inspections on precision components. The role suits a detail-oriented professional who can interpret complex drawings and uphold strict quality standards.

The candidate will read blueprints, conduct FAIs, and verify conformance to customer specs while mentoring junior inspectors and collaborating with production teams to resolve quality

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years of quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Manufacturing, machine shop, aerospace, medical device, sheet metal, or additive manufacturing experience.
• Strong blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge.
• Experience with CMMs and precision measurement equipment.
• Knowledge of AS9100, ISO9001, or ISO13485 quality systems.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-process and final inspections on manufactured parts.
• Complete First Article Inspections (FAIs) and customer certification requirements.
• Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, height gages, CMMs, and other inspection equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T requirements.
• Verify compliance with customer specifications and quality standards.
• Support AS9100, ISO9001, and quality system requirements.
• Mentor and train less experienced inspectors.
• Partner with production teams to resolve quality concerns.
