Job summary

Howmet Fastening Systems, a Howmet Aerospace unit, seeks a Quality Tech II on 2nd shift in Fullerton, CA. The role involves inspection of aerospace parts after final processing, using micrometers, calipers, and other precision tools to ensure conformance to drawings and specifications.

The position requires reading blueprints, generating inspection reports, and collaborating with QA/Engineering on non-conformances. It also includes supporting gage recalls and maintaining quality documentation.

Qualifications

2+ years related quality experience or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Prior experience as a quality inspector.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedures manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations and calculations.
Ability to interpret and apply written/drawn specifications and procedures.

Responsibilities

Inspect product after final processing and procure samples for dimensional inspection.
Review customer drawings and measure parts using precision tools to ensure conformance.
Prepare quality documentation and non-conformance reports for evaluation by Quality/Engineering.
Support recall of gages and tools and review of 3rd party certifications.
