About the Role:

The Quality Inspector II plays a critical role in ensuring that manufacturing processes and products meet established quality standards and customer expectations. This position involves conducting detailed inspections, testing, and measurements of materials and finished goods to identify defects or deviations from specifications. The Quality Inspector II collaborates closely with production teams to implement corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance product reliability and efficiency. This role requires a keen eye for detail and a thorough understanding of quality control methodologies to maintain compliance with industry regulations and company policies. Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a quality inspection role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and optical comparators.

  • Surface Quality under MIL-PRF-13830B, ANSI/OEOSC OP1.002, MIL-F-48616, and ISO 10110

  • Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC) and quality management systems (QMS) like ISO 9001.
  • Familiarity with computerized quality inspection software and data entry systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine and non-routine inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products using precision measuring instruments and visual examination.
  • Document inspection results and maintain accurate records to support quality assurance and traceability requirements.
  • Identify and report quality issues, non-conformances, and potential risks to the quality management team promptly.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to investigate root causes of defects and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Ensure compliance with company quality standards, safety regulations, and customer specifications throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Participate in internal and external quality audits and assist in the development of quality improvement plans.
  • Train and mentor junior quality inspectors and support continuous learning within the quality department.
