We are seeking a Fabrication Inspector 1 for 2nd Shift. The Fabrication Inspector plays a critical role in ensuring that manufactured components meet stringent quality and safety standards before they proceed to the next stage of production or delivery. This position involves meticulous examination of fabricated parts using precision measurement tools to verify dimensional accuracy and surface integrity. The inspector collaborates closely with production teams to identify defects, recommend corrective actions, and maintain compliance with industry specifications and customer requirements. By upholding rigorous inspection protocols, the Fabrication Inspector helps minimize rework, reduce waste, and enhance overall product reliability. Ultimately, this role contributes significantly to the manufacturing process by safeguarding product quality and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Shift: 2:00pm-10:30pm
The required skills such as the use of calipers and micrometers are essential for performing precise dimensional inspections, ensuring that each part meets exact specifications. Surface inspection skills enable the inspector to identify defects that could compromise product integrity or safety, which is critical in maintaining high‑quality standards. Dimensional inspection expertise allows the inspector to verify that components conform to design tolerances, preventing costly errors downstream. Preferred skills like familiarity with computerized inspection systems enhance efficiency and accuracy in data collection and analysis. Additionally, strong communication and documentation skills are used daily to report findings clearly and collaborate effectively with production and engineering teams.
For California, the hourly pay rate is: $16.07–$27.48. This range is provided as a general guideline; when determining an offer, Attalon considers multiple factors, including the responsibilities of the position, your professional experience, education and training, specialized skills, and current market and business conditions.
