The Quality Inspector plays a critical role in ensuring that manufacturing processes and products meet established quality standards and specifications. This position involves conducting detailed inspections and tests on raw materials, in-process components, and finished goods to identify defects or deviations from quality requirements. The Quality Inspector I collaborates closely with production teams to provide timely feedback and support continuous improvement initiatives. By maintaining accurate records and documentation, this role helps uphold compliance with industry regulations and company policies. Ultimately, the Quality Inspector I contributes to delivering high-quality products that satisfy customer expectations and support the company’s reputation for excellence.
These skills enable the Quality Inspector to perform accurate measurements and inspections essential to maintaining product quality. Attention to detail helps identify defects early, while the ability to read technical drawings ensures products meet design requirements. Familiarity with quality systems and software supports efficient documentation, and strong communication and problem‑solving skills promote effective collaboration with production teams to resolve issues and support continuous improvement.
For California, the hourly pay range for this role is $20.33–$34.75. Please note this range is provided as a general guideline.
