Job summary

Sundt Construction seeks a Quality Inspector to ensure materials, components, and processes meet quality standards. You will inspect incoming materials, in-process items, and finished products, read blueprints, and document results while collaborating with production and engineering teams.

The role requires attention to detail, experience with inspection tools, and familiarity with ISO 9001/QMS standards, with growth opportunities in a leading, employee-owned contractor.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in quality inspection or QA in manufacturing/construction.
• Ability to read and interpret technical docs and drawings.
• Basic computer skills and data entry or quality documentation experience.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Familiarity with QMS and standards (ISO 9001, ACI, ASME, AWS).
• High school diploma or GED; associate degree or technical cert preferred; proficiency with inspection tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and implementing quality control plans and procedures.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to resolve issues.
• Document inspection results and maintain accurate records.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and quality policies.
• Identify non-conforming materials and initiate corrective actions.
• Participate in internal and external audits as required.
• Perform inspections on incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications.
• Use inspection tools like calipers, micrometers, gauges.
