Precision Castparts Corp. (PCC) is seeking a Quality Inspector in South Gate, CA to inspect finished goods, forged bars, rings and machined parts, ensuring conformance to specs.

You will read blueprints, measure dimensions, and report findings to managers, with setup of inspection equipment and marking tools as part of daily duties. The role requires blueprints/datums knowledge, hands-on tool experience, and the ability to interpret varied instructions.

Formación

• One year certificate from college or technical school or 1–3 years related experience
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees
• Ability to apply fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
• Ability to interpret a variety of written, oral, diagram, or schedule form

Responsabilidades

• Read blueprints or engineering specs to obtain product information
• Compare surface finish with standard blocks using fingertip touch
• Measure dimensions to ensure compliance with specs
• Report findings to Quality/Inspection Managers and write IDRs if needed
• Set up and test inspection equipment for accuracy
• Substitute blueprint values into formulas to determine dimensions
• Set up stamper and identification tools for marking parts
• Move heavy parts using forklifts and cranes
• Operate ROMER arms as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned
