Job summary

Gulf Island in Houma, LA is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to ensure product quality in designated enclosure areas according to engineering drawings, SOPs and work instructions. You will read drawings, verify conformance with tape measures, gauges and torque wrenches, document results, photograph accepted conditions and upload files.

A high school diploma and 2+ years in QC are required; NEC knowledge is a plus for Electrical enclosures; candidate must be eligible to work in the United

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• 2+ years experience as a Quality Control Inspector in manufacturing or assemblies.
• Knowledge of NEC is preferred for Electrical Enclosures area.
• Strong understanding of quality control principles and standards.
• Good math and technical skills.
• Ability to read and interpret Engineering drawings.
• Must be able to read a tape measure.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret Engineering drawings, work instructions to understand product requirements.
• Verify products meet drawings and SOP requirements using tape measures, gauges, torque wrenches, and other methods.
• Document inspections and testing on appropriate forms.
• Photograph accepted condition of product and components and upload inspection documents.
• Collaborate with Production to ensure quality is built into the product without delaying production.
• Assist in resolving quality-related issues in a timely manner.
• Support Quality Lead, Quality Engineer and Quality Manager on daily tasks and projects.
• Communicate clearly with Production and Engineering to resolve quality issues.
