Job summary

Responsibilities include using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and CMM tools; identifying defects such as porosity, cracks, and surface issues; and supporting first article, in-process and final inspections to drive quality on the line.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required for entry-level Inspector I.
• Technical degree is preferred for Inspector II level.
• Candidates should read blueprints and GD&T basics.
• Experience with measuring tools and inspection reports is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections on die cast parts.
• Identify defects such as porosity, cracks, flash, blisters, and surface imperfections.
• Verify product conformance to drawings, specifications, and control plans.
• Complete inspection documentation, reports, and records accurately.
• Support first article, in-process, and final inspections.
• Use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and go/no-go gauges.
• Interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Utilize advanced inspection tools including bore gauges, optical comparators, and CMM.
• Investigate nonconforming material and assist with root cause and corrective actions.
• Support audits and mentor junior inspectors.
