Job summary

JBC Technologies, Inc. seeks a detail-oriented quality inspector to join our manufacturing team in Denver, CO. You will inspect parts across processes, calibrate inspection tools, and maintain accurate FAI/PPAP documentation.

The role involves working with blueprint reading, MS Office, and various measuring tools, with a strong emphasis on teamwork and safety in a plant setting. 40-hour weeks with potential overtime and a non-exempt status.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate's degree in Applied Sciences or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without Company sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition; follow safety regulations and best practices.
• Assist with inspections of parts throughout processes as needed.
• Calibrate and update inspection tools (rulers, calipers, gauges).
• Complete documentation for FAI's and PPAPs.
• Investigate CARs from customers regarding part/product rejection.
• Oversee quarantined materials and dispositions of non-conforming product.
• Use computer systems to adjust/move inventories for scrap/non-conforming materials.
• Verify submitted CPARs and provide feedback/verification.
• Investigate supplier quality issues with incoming materials and coordinate with purchasing for credits.
• Participate in team projects and meetings; embrace JBC's Core Values.
• Work as assigned and adapt to changes in procedures as the company grows.
• Work 40 hours/week, may require Friday/Saturday overtime.

Job description

Duties/Responsibilities

• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations and best practices
• Assist with performing inspections of parts throughout various processes as needed
• Calibrate and update all inspection tools including rulers, calipers, gages
• Completion of all documentation for FAI's and PPAPs
• Responsible for investigating all CARs from customer regarding part/product rejection
• Responsible for overseeing quarantined materials and dispositions of non-conforming product
• Utilize applicable computer systems to adjust/move inventories to adjust for scrap/non-conforming materials
• Verify/investigate submitted CPARs and provide feedback/verification of each
• Responsible for investigating supplier quality issues with incoming materials, including follow-up with purchasing/customer to receive proper credits

• Detailed oriented and strong written and verbal communications skills required
• Must be able to read blueprints and be proficient in the usage of Comparators, Calipers, Micrometers, Height Gages, etc.
• ASQ Certification a plus but not required

Position Type

• Hourly, Non Exempt. At Will employee.

• Manufacturing/Office environment.
• Employee must be able to adapt to frequent changes in procedures and methods as company grows.

Physical Demands

• Light to moderate physical effort required on a constant basis
• Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds
• Required to sit, stand, bend, reach and move about the facility for an entire shift

Personal Protective Equipment

• Eye protection, hearing protection, safety shoes, and face masks are available and required in certain areas

Work Schedule

• Normal schedule - 40 hours/week; Monday through Thursday (10-hour shifts)
• Overtime scheduled as needed and may be mandatory Friday and Saturday

Work Environment

• Work performed in a plant/production environment
• Contains any number of elements including but not limited to fiberglass/insulation material, dust, fumes, and noise.
• Must be able to work as part of a team or independently with limited supervision
