• Skilled in using measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.).
• Familiar with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or similar quality systems.

Position Summary The Manufacturing Quality Inspector is responsible for ensuring that all products and components meet company and customer quality standards. This role involves inspecting incoming materials, in-process parts, and finished products using various tools and techniques.

Key Responsibilities

Perform inspections of incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications.

• Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and comparators.
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and work instructions to determine inspection criteria.
• Document and report inspection results accurately, including identifying and communicating non-conformances.
• Assist in root cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
• Maintain detailed and organized inspection records and quality documentation.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and other departments to resolve quality issues and drive continuous improvement.
• Participate in internal and external audits and contribute to maintaining ISO and customer quality standards.
• Support quality documentation efforts, including PPAP (Production Part Approval Process), FAI (First Article Inspection), and control plans.
• Serve as a key member of the quality team, contributing to the development and execution of quality initiatives.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or associate degree in a related field preferred.

• 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing quality inspection role.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical inspection techniques and tools.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, GD&T, and technical specifications.
• Skilled in the use of measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.).
• Familiarity with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or similar quality systems preferred.
• Basic computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and quality management systems (QMS).
• Effective communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 40 lbs.

• May require extended periods of standing or sitting at a workstation.
• Manual dexterity for handling small components and measuring tools.
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with machinery, noise, and variable temperatures.

Work Schedule

Full-time; flexibility to work overtime as needed, or a flex shift as needed to support production and inspection demands.

Regular Work Schedule: Monday through Friday 7:00AM to 3:30PM

Flex Schedules: Monday through Friday either 5:00AM to 1:30PM or 6:00AM to 2:30PM *Please Note: Flex Schedules will be based on Production as needed.
