Job summary

HDT Global in Cincinnati, OH seeks an experienced Quality Inspector with an active AWS CWI certification to ensure welded components meet standards through inspection and documentation.

The role includes performing weldment inspections per contract requirements and AWS codes, training welders, maintaining qualification records, and stopping non-compliant operations, all while supporting quality and safety programs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years welding and inspection experience
• Active AWS CWI certification
• NDT experience (UT, MT, PT)
• Able to read and interpret welding drawings and specifications
• Maintain AWS certification through continuing education and testing

Responsibilities

• Perform internal and external weld inspections per AWS codes and contract requirements
• Ensure all work complies with drawings, specs and guidelines
• Interpret codes and specifications per drawings
• Document and report acceptance or rejection of weld quality; dispose rejected parts
• Recommend repairs during inspection of completed work
• Assist in training and certification of welders; contribute to WPS development
• Maintain records of welder qualifications and other tests
• Stop weld operations that do not meet relevant specifications or codes
• Support quality and safety programs and company culture
• Perform other duties as assigned
