Job summary

Northrop Grumman Corp. is seeking an Inspector 2/3 to support the Propulsion Systems and Controls division at Elkton, MD. The role involves visual and dimensional inspection of components, subassemblies, and assemblies using CMMs and PC-DMIS software.

Strong attention to detail, leadership and reliability are essential. Qualified candidates have 2–4+ years in manufacturing, ability to obtain a secret clearance, and proficiency with Word, Excel and Outlook.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience (Level 2) or at least 4 years (Level 3) in manufacturing environments.
• Ability to obtain a secret clearance (US citizenship required).
• Experience operating or programming CMMs under guidance.

Responsibilities

• Inspect in-process and completed components, subassemblies, and assemblies using process documents and inspection plans.
• Operate CMM and PC-DMIS software; develop and maintain programs.
• Create inspection reports from drawings or plans and document results.
• Reject or rework defective units; investigate non-conformances and contribute to root-cause analysis.
• Support safety and perform job safety analyses as required.
