Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking an Inspector – Level 2/3 to join our Elkton, Maryland facility. The role involves mechanical/electronic inspection of components and assemblies, using CMM and PC-DMIS, with first article and in-process inspections in a production environment.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma (or equivalent) with 2+ years in manufacturing, and must be able to obtain a Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and at least 2 years of related experience.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to obtain a United States Government Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical or electronic inspection on manufactured/purchased components and assemblies.
• Visually inspect for defects and verify parts meet specifications.
• Create inspection reports from drawings or inspection plans.
• Operate Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) using PC-DMIS, including development and maintenance of programs.
• Perform first article inspections and in-process inspections on subassemblies and final assemblies.
