Job summary

Nexans is seeking a Quality Inspector to deploy quality controls on the factory floor, ensuring inspections span incoming, in-process, and final products. You will verify compliance with control plans and ITPs, manage nonconforming material containment, and document traceable inspection records to support product quality across cable manufacturing operations.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of manufacturing quality inspection experience.
Experience in cable manufacturing, wire manufacturing, plastics extrusion, electrical products, or other regulated environments preferred.
Experience with quality management systems such as ISO 9001.
Training in Root Cause Analysis (5 Why, Fishbone, or 8D).
ASQ Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections.
Ensure compliance to control plans and ITPs.
Manage nonconforming product containment.
Verify inspection records and traceability.
Act as first escalation point for quality issues on the floor.
Plan and execute process audits.
Develop improvement activities from audit results.
Coordinate the qualification of new raw material, new supplier and trials to achieve qualification.
