Job summary

Nexans in Goose Creek, SC is seeking a Quality Inspector to join our manufacturing team. You will perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections to ensure materials and products meet control plan requirements and quality targets.

You will verify traceability, manage nonconforming material containment, and support continuous improvement through root cause analysis and process audits. Strong attention to detail and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of manufacturing quality inspection experience.
• Experience with quality management systems such as ISO 9001.
• Training in Root Cause Analysis (5 Why, Fishbone, or 8D).
• ASQ Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) certification or equivalent.
• Familiarity with nonconforming material control and product traceability.
• Basic computer skills with Microsoft Office and manufacturing or quality management systems (ERP/MES/QMS).

Responsibilities

• Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections.
• Ensure compliance to control plans and ITPs.
• Manage nonconforming material containment.
• Verify inspection records and traceability.
• Act as first escalation point for quality issues on the floor.
• Plan and execute Process audits.
• Develop improvement activities from results of audits.
• Coordinate the qualification of new raw material, new supplier and any trials needed to achieve qualification.
